FEED 5,000 CAMPAIGN – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA
- A) EHC St. Helena:Most workers in this branch come from abroad, bringing new ideas to the ministry. However, since they must return home once their contracted terms expire, this branch faces a high turnover challenge, impacting evangelism efforts. Pray that the Lord sends dedicated volunteers to help fill these gaps and reap the abundant harvest.
- B) EHC Zambia:Their evangelism outreach achieved great success in August. In the eastern provinces, they mobilized churches to conduct evangelistic training and recruited 50 volunteers who went on to evangelize to 1,785 households deeply rooted in their ancestral faith. Additionally, 85 new believers from remote villages were baptized into the church. Pray for their pastoral care and spiritual growth to become pleasing disciples of Christ.
- C) EHC Seychelles:We thank God for the generous sponsorship from the World Missionary Press, providing unprecedentedly large quantities of tracts which allowed the smooth unfolding of evangelism efforts. We hope for their local churches to share this burden and reach out to unsaved lands together with the EHC team. Many believers in this country face persecution and there is strong resistance against evangelism. Pray for the Lord's peace to accompany the co-workers’ footsteps.
CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) FUNDRAISING AND PREPARATIONS
Since the beginning of the year, the burden on our hearts has been to raise the budget of S$350,000. Both fundraising events this year received generous contributions and support from various churches and brethren, raising part of the funds for which we are grateful to the Lord. However, the celebration is imminent, but we are still some distance away from meeting our budget, while various expenses are already due for payment, including administrative and permit application fees. These challenges made our organizing committee understandably anxious, but we continued in faith with the preparations and performance arrangements. Several local and overseas choirs have confirmed their participation. We request your prayers for the performers to be used mightily by the Lord to proclaim the joyful message of Jesus’ birth through their beautiful music and songs. The committee will also need to arrange for the venue, tentage, accommodations for overseas performers, and the daily cleanup after performances, and we seek the Lord’s guidance to do these well. The committee will be sending fundraising letters to local churches, and we hope that with their generous support, this year’s celebration will once again proceed smoothly to spread the Saviour’s holy name. Your fervent prayers and strong support are the key to fulfilling the Great Commission.
SEHC MINISTRY UPDATES SEEKING YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT
Festive holidays are a great time to distribute related themed tracts. To seize the upcoming evangelistic windows during Christmas and Chinese New Year, SEHC reprinted 20,000 copies each of the Christmas and Chinese New Year tracts in both Chinese and English. One of the Christmas tracts, “For You At Christmas”, had 20,000 copies printed specially for the Celebrate Christmas in Singapore event at Orchard Road at the end of this year. We hope to proclaim the joyful message of the birth of Christ through the written word this way. Another tract, “Blessings”, can be distributed not only during Chinese New Year but also throughout the year. We urge churches that are interested in customization to include their address in the tract to contact us as soon as possible to allow for arrangements. Pray for all churches and brethren to actively use these tracts to help non-believer friends understand the true meaning of Christmas, and that real blessings come from trusting the one true God.
FORGING AHEAD IN CREATIVE ACCESS REGION EVANGELISM
Country S: Opponents of the Gospel here are sabotaging evangelistic work, hindering the spread of the Gospel and disheartening volunteers in their efforts. We pray for the Lord to restrain the enemy’s activity and enable the volunteers to remember His calling as they boldly save souls for the Lord.
Country A: This country is a dangerous place for evangelists, and it takes truly brave and admirable co-workers to conduct door-to-door outreach or share the Gospel with acquaintances. Natural disasters such as landslides caused by heavy rain and road damage also severely inconvenience and impact evangelism in certain areas. We earnestly seek your prayers.
Country G: For the Gospel to spread widely in this country, it is crucial to convey the vision effectively. Co-workers from this EHC branch have been sharing the vision and leading evangelistic training in various cities, hoping to inspire and gather pastoral workers and congregations to become partners in evangelism who work together to reap the Lord’s harvest. Pray for the Lord to grant them safe travel and to move participating churches to respond passionately to the call of the Great Commission.
“THE BLAMELESS SERVANT” AND “BECOMING OUTSTANDING IN LIFE” – INVITING JESUS INTO YOUR LIFE
The first book, written by Rev. Dr. Joseph Tong, is based on recordings from his training sessions for pastoral workers. The content is purely theological, providing fresh insights and deep benefits. The first book is written by Rev. Dr. Joseph Tong with the aim to help church members grasp the fundamental essence of the Christian faith and become true Christians. The book has 13 sections, covering topics such as the true God, sin, and the Church. The second book, written by Rev. Dr. Lukas Tjandra, is divided into three parts: historical background, religious background, and literary background. The second book, written by Elder Samuel Ching, explains God’s word in an accessible manner, helping people understand the true God and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, and the wonderful salvation He has prepared for the world. “7 QUESTIONS OF LIFE” AND “A QUIET HARVEST OF FISH” – COMPASSES FOR YOUR LIFE
The first booklet, written by Bro. Ford of Jabbock, aims to provide initial answers to life’s confusions and questions from the Christian perspective, such as why life seems unfulfilling, why fate feels unfair, why one may not succeed, and what to believe in life. Trusting in Jesus to lead the way allows life to truly experience Him and flourish. The second booklet, written by Dr. James Yu, consists of a series of his articles. The topics discussed include the Bible and language, truth and words, secrets to victory, and the relationship between the divine and humanity. The Gospel spreads through language, and the richness of language is enhanced by the Gospel. These books are suitable for giving to new believers. Pray for their effective use in God’s work.
