Fifty-nine residents decided to follow Jesus and committed to participating in discipleship courses. One of them even enthusiastically opened their home as a family worship gathering point, which continues to this day. Praise the Lord!
  2. B) EHC Seychelles:God willing, the team’s strategy aims to complete reaching their entire nation by the end of 2026. Please pray for them and ask God to raise partnering churches, provide the necessary outreach resources, and remove all evil forces preventing people from accepting Jesus so that all in Seychelles can receive His grace of salvation.

EVANGELISM EFFORTS MAKE PROGRESS IN MYANMAR AMID TURMOIL

Poverty-stricken Myanmar continues to suffer from the compounded effects of the pandemic, civil war, drug trafficking, and online scam syndicates. Half of the population is afflicted and lives pitifully in constant hunger, scarcity, anxiety, and fear. Despite the hostile circumstances, the Reformed Bible College in northern Myanmar remains steadfast in its mission, continuing to equip theological students and mobilizing them to distribute gospel tracts in villages, spreading hope to those who await the Gospel. These efforts have yielded remarkable results and softened hearts for the Gospel. Last year’s Christmas gospel rally surpassed all expectations and drew 1,300 attendees. It was the seminary’s largest evangelistic event to date and saw record numbers of people committing themselves to Christ, including many among the children and youth. Please pray for the faith of these new believers and the challenges in their discipleship and pastoral care. SEHC previously supplied Chinese tracts and books monthly to the seminary but was forced to stop due to changing circumstances in Myanmar. Printing tracts there can be quite costly, and we thank the Lord that the last batch delivered to them was sizeable, which will allow them to continue distributing tracts for a while. Pray for God to open doors to supply and replenish them with all the literature and spiritual resources needed soon.

SEHC MINISTRY UPDATES: REQUEST FOR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT

In the last quarter of 2024, SEHC gave out 1,953 books and booklets, with 1,553 gifted to local believers and 400 sent to underprivileged groups in West Malaysia. These include: The bilingual Christmas-themed comic booklet “Emmanuel” (1,511), the English devotional guide “Our Daily Focus” (157), “Choices” (70), “The Blessed Woman” (30), “The Way of Spiritual Development” (26), “True Happiness Can Be Yours” (21), Journey of Life’s Growth (14), Love On Its Knees (12), and 132 copies of other titles. These materials aim to promote literary evangelism and edify believers’ faith. We hope more churches will actively promote literary ministries, encouraging believers to read Christian books to grow in their faith and enrich their lives, thereby bearing witness for the Lord with greater effect.

SUMMARY OF TRACT USAGE BY CHURCHES AND BRETHREN IN 2024

There was a slight decrease in tracts used by churches and brethren compared to 2023. Nevertheless, we remain grateful because God's mighty Gospel has been widely spread through everyone's diligent tract outreach. The Bible reminds us that their labour in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). The outlook in the new year may not be bright or optimistic, and people still pursue things that cannot satisfy the emptiness in their hearts. Only knowledge of the true God and trusting in the Saviour Jesus Christ can truly sate their hunger and thirst. May we grow even more zealous in the new year to diligently distribute tracts and spread the Gospel, so that more people may receive precious salvation and the blessing of eternal life.

“WORLD PEACE” AND “RECONCILING WITH GOD” - THE TRUE PATH TO PEACE

These two gospel tracts were written by Dr. James Yu. The first tract explores humanity's fundamental desire for peace. To have true peace on earth, we must first reconcile with God, which means to remove our sin. Jesus is the sinless Lamb of God who died for us so that through faith we are justified, and God sees us as sinless and pleasing to Him. The second tract explains that the true God is love. He does not desire anyone to perish but instead prepared for us the only way of salvation, sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save humanity. Those who believe in Him shall receive new life. Pray that these tracts will bring many to the Lord’s salvation.

“FOUR GOSPELS Q&A” AND “KNOWING THE TRUTH” - DEEPENING YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE GOSPEL

The first book, authored by Elder Samuel Ching, addresses challenging questions many believers encounter while reading the Gospels. The Four Gospels are God’s complete revelation and testimony for Jesus Christ. By providing answers to 198 common gospel questions, the author hopes to shed light on God’s Word, helping believers to grow deeper in their knowledge of the Lord. The second book, written by Dr. Zhang Yulan, is a collection of his reflections from classic books, sermons, and experiential evidence. Topics include the existence of God, the divine inspiration of the Bible, and whether Jesus is the Son of God. Pray that the books will edify many truth seekers.

“THE SHEPHERD’S WORDS” AND “BLESSINGS OF LIFE” - NURTURING YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The first book, written by Rev. Dr. Peter Wongso, emphasizes holistic biblical doctrines. Each short essay within is grounded in biblical truth, covering topics such as the message of the Gospel, spiritual growth, and biblical doctrines. It is intended to attract and inspire readers to explore biblical teachings more deeply. The second book, authored by the elderly Ps. Mu Sheng, contains 168 short essays addressing topics related to the Christian faith like living out life, the meaning of life, obeying the Father’s will, and hidden miracles. Pray that these books will help many grow in their knowledge of the biblical truth.

“EXPERIENCING THE HOLY SPIRIT” & “BLESSINGS AND CURSES” - BLESSINGS FROM GOD

The first book, authored by Bro. Chang Fengge, is designed for Christians eager to pursue truth and abundant life. It can serve as both a personal devotional guide and a reference for Bible study groups. The book contains 11 chapters discussing topics such as the status and role of the Holy Spirit, the work of the Holy Spirit, and what spiritual gifts are. The second book, written by old Ps. Silas Wu who has many years of experience in pastoral work, systematically explores the spiritual meaning of “blessings” and “curses”. It expands on one of his recorded sermons and provides profound insights and comprehensive interpretation of relevant scriptures and events. These books are available at SEHC’s bookroom, and we welcome you to purchase a copy.
