FEED 5,000 CAMPAIGN – EVANGELISM IN AFRICA
- A) EHC Equatorial Guinea: The branch has launched a gospel outreach initiative in Bata, the most densely populated city in the country. We pray that the Lord will open the doors of this new harvest field for the Gospel, remove all obstacles and suffering, and move the hearts of residents to believe in Jesus. We thank God for leading the team in meetings with their Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Justice, through which permission was granted not only to rehabilitate former inmates after their release from Riaba Prison, but also to enter prisons nationwide to share the Gospel with the inmates. May many who are bound by sin discover new life throughthe Gospel.
- B) EHC Zimbabwe: The team is deeply concerned about the spiritual needs of youth with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS, students with autism, hearing-impaired youths, and orphans. Gatherings have been arranged for them, and we pray that the Lord will remove every obstacle and lead them safely to attend, drawing them to receive the Saviour. The team has also trained 50 volunteers to address mental health gaps among marginalised groups. Pray for these efforts to bear lasting fruit and, through screening and treatment plans, help young people to overcome psychological trauma, reduce suicide rates, experience emotional healing, and receive salvation for their souls.
- C) EHC Lesotho: The Mokhotlong District in eastern Lesotho is a border region and remains largely unreached by the Gospel. Many unreached people groups, especially children, shepherd boys, and youths, are key target groups for the team’s outreach. They need God’s wisdom to engage the target groups through diverse evangelistic approaches, helping them to understand the way of salvation, believe in Jesus, and follow Him. Please pray for the Lord’s help.
CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS IN SINGAPORE (CCIS) - PROCLAIMING THE GOOD NEWS IN PRAISE
Last year’s Celebrate Christmas in Singapore event held along Orchard Road concluded successfully, for which we give thanks to the Lord. Organising this annual celebration is no easy task, and last year was no exception. Funding was difficult to secure, and discounts previously offered for overseas performers’ hotel accommodation were withdrawn. Yet we are deeply grateful for the faithful guidance and provision of God. Through the prayers and loving support of the churches and brethren, together with the enthusiastic participation of local and overseas choirs, the celebration proceeded as scheduled. For seven consecutive nights, many choirs sang passionately on two stages, joyfully proclaiming the Christmas message of Christ’s incarnation and salvation to the audience. The Gospel Interactive Zone nearby used multimedia presentations to help visitors understand the true meaning of Christmas. We pray that even after the singing has ceased, the message proclaimed through the hymns will continue to echo in hearts and bear fruit unto salvation. While the celebration has ended, there remains a funding shortfall. We pray that Jehovah Jireh our Provider will supply our needs abundantly.
CNY GOSPEL TRACTS, SCRIPTURE MANDARIN-ORANGE BAGS, AND SCRIPTURE RED PACKETS
The Lunar New Year signifies renewal, prayers for peace and blessings, and family reunion. For Christians, in addition to visiting relatives and exchanging red packets with elders and the young ones, it is also a meaningful occasion to testify to them of God’s grace and sow seeds of the Gospel, which is the calling of all Christians. SEHC’s CNY gospel tracts, Scripture mandarin-orange bags, and Scripture red packets feature clear messages, striking Bible verses, and the prominent “福” (blessing) character, making them highly suitable evangelistic tools. Through them, believers can share with family and friends that the one true God is the source of all blessings and that His grace overflows without end. We hope for churches to purchase more of these materials for use in New Year evangelistic gatherings and home visitations. Brethren are also encouraged to obtain a variety of CNY tracts from our bookroom, so that as friends and relatives bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new, they can also receive God’s vast redemptive grace to embrace the Gospel and new life.
CREATIVE ACCESS REGION TEAMS EXPAND HARVEST FIELDS TO SAVE MORE SOULS
EHC Country E: The people of this country insist that they must adhere to ancestral beliefs passed down through generations, which has become a barrier to faith in Jesus. Only earnest prayer can break down and demolish these strongholds. This branch urgently needs more volunteers to participate in the OIKOS outreach, which aims to bring the Gospel to everyone , everywhere and every generation by 2038. Please pray for this effort.
EHC Country Z: One ministry partner from this branch was followed for two days during a mission trip, and subsequently arrested and deported. Past communication records of the co-workers may now be exposed. Please pray for their safety. Pray also that the Lord will prepare their hearts for the persecution that lies ahead, granting them strength, wisdom, and discernment to face the daunting challenges calmly and faithfully.
EHC Country P: As co-workers carry out daily outreach, they face challenges from political, social, geographical, and environmental factors. Pray for God to grant them wisdom, courage, and sensitivity to overcome these difficulties through their reliance on Him. As they visit villages and build relationships through relational evangelism, may their journeys be safe, and may villagers experience God’s great love through them, coming to know the hope and joy of salvation found in trusting Jesus.
“THE BLESSING OF LIFE” AND “THE DEW OF LIFE” - BLESSINGS FROM HEAVEN
The former book, written by Pastor Mu Sheng, contains 168 articles covering the Christian’s relationship with the Lord Jesus, the foundation of grace, obedience to the Heavenly Father’s will, a quiet and godly life, and following Christ’s example. Each article explains Scripture in a clear and accessible way, enabling readers to readily receive spiritual teaching. The latter book, written by Dr. Peter Liu, consists of six chapters compiled from his sermon recordings. His messages are like living waters flowing from the mercy seat, vibrant and powerful, and dispelling darkness and hindrances in believers’ hearts and restoring light and strength. May these two books help more people grow and be built up in their spiritual lives.
“THE PURSUIT” AND “THE WAY TO A HAPPY LIFE” - KNOWING JESUS CHRIST
The first is an evangelistic booklet written by Mr. Erny, centred on the pursuit of life. Life is both an eternal search and a search for eternity. Where does life begin, and where does it end? Jesus came into the world so that people may have life and have it more abundantly. The second booklet is a Bible correspondence course compiled by Dr. Johnny Lee, divided into four units that systematically explain the fundamental teachings of the Bible in clear language: 1) The Bible, God, Man; 2) Sin, Jesus Christ, Eternal life; 3) Faith, Hope, Love; 4) Bible Study, Prayer Life, Witnessing. Each of these books will be reprinted across the APAC region. May the Lord use them to open hearts to know Christ and to be rooted and nurtured in spiritual life.
Local OIKOS Tract Outreach
Thanks be to the Lord! Because of the diligent tract distribution by brothers and sisters in Christ over the past two years, we have completed about half of our distribution target. In Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Chai Chee, Jurong East, and Yishun, the distribution rate has exceeded 50%. However, in some areas, such as Bishan, Redhill, Hougang, Queenstown, Serangoon, and Woodlands, the distribution rate is still below 20%. Pray for God to raise up more outreach warriors in the new year so that the Gospel may soon reach every district and every household.
- Philos A/G(Rev. Yeo Pin Pin):Last week, I led Sis. Yao Yao, who has believed in the Lord, to our church. It was her day off and I had been looking forward to this day, hoping she could come. She walked alone from Farrer Park MRT station to our church, showing that she is a very independent girl. She was very chattyand asked many questions about God and Christ. Afterwards, she apologized for asking so many questions. I told her it was fine because she was formerly an atheist, and it is natural for her to have doubts about God now. She explained that in her home country, people consider praying to God to be a superstitious activity. I feel her faith needs further follow-up, but perhaps that needs to wait till her next day off. She works at a restaurant from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Pray that the Lord guides her spiritual growth and grants her opportunities to come to church more often.
- Sis. Olive Mok: Today I shared the Gospel with a man in his seventies. At first, he refused to listen because he said he was a pagan and could not change his faith. When I explained the difference between believing in Christ and other religions, he began to listen attentively. Thank the Lord for this opportunity; I believe the Gospel seed has been sown in his heart. Afterwards, an uncle sitting next to him asked which church we were from, and said he was also a Christian. I noticed he was smoking heavily, so I talked with him about Christian life. He said he had just been released from prison for theft and had been in and out of prison ten times. I told him he needs to rely on God to overcome this habit. I guided him to commit his life to the Lord Jesus in prayer and he agreed to receive further ministry from us. His name is Ricky. Please pray for his early release from bondage.
- Bro. Allan Kon:By the Lord’s grace, today I met an 86-year-old man in a wheelchair. He claimed to be a devout pagan, with idols filling his home. He said his life was full of sin, and that he deserved to be in a wheelchair. He has a Christian neighbour who shares the Bible with him weekly, but he has never accepted it. I told him he is not cursed, and as long as he is willing to accept Jesus as his Saviour and confess his sins to the Lord, God will forgive him. Thank be to God, he agreed and prayed with me. Afterwards, he also agreed to visits from our church. Praise the Lord, another soul has entered His kingdom today!
